Bangladesh Cricket Song.

Bangladesh Cricket Song:

Mashrafe Mortaza is the new captain in Bangladesh National cricket team.

23 jun 2009:Mashrafe Mortaza as captain of the Bangladesh national team.
Bangladesh Tuesday named fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza as captain of the national team, replacing Mohammad Ashraful, for the cricket tours of West Indies and Zimbabwe.
Mohammad Ashraful:
Ashraful took over the captaincy from Habibul Bashar in June 2007.
"Mohammad Ashraful has been removed from the captaincy because of poor batting,"
Under Ashraful's captaincy, Bangladesh won only eight games in 38 ODIs, and failed to win a Test, losing 12 out of 13. His performance with the bat suffered in both forms of the game as captain.
He also said that change was not related to Bangladesh's poor performance in the recently concluded Twenty20 World Cup.
"We all know his quality and what he is capable of as a batsman and we are confident that without the burden of captaincy his batting would flourish and he would contribute more to the team."
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is the new captain in Bangladesh National cricket team.
Bangladesh National cricket team will play two Tests, three ODIs and a Twenty20 match in West Indies starting July 3.

Afridi paid tribute to skipper Younus Khan.
"I asked the captain to send me up the order and that's what he did," said Afridi.

Sri Lanka Hits 138 Runs by 6 Wickets vs Pakistan in Twenty20 Final Match.

June 21 --- Sri Lanka recovered to post 138 Runs by 6 Wickets vs Pakistan from its 20 overs in the final match of cricket’s ICC World Twenty20 at Lord’s in London.

Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara top-scored with 64 not out to help his team recover from 70-6 at the end of the 13th over.
Sri Lanka lost its first wicket in the opening over today, without having scored a run. Tillakaratne Dilshan was unable to add to his tournament-leading 317 runs after scooping the ball to Shahzaib Hasan off the bowling of 17-year-old Mohammad Aamer.

Abdul Razzaq claimed his first wicket in the next over to leave Sri Lanka on 2-2, Jehan Mubarak giving Hasan another catch. Sanath Jayasuriya briefly accelerated the run rate with 17 from 10 balls, before dragging the ball onto his stumps. Razzaq took three wickets.
Three further wickets left Sri Lanka struggling to post a competitive total, but Sri Lanka captain Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews fought back. Sangakkara struck seven boundaries in his 52-ball knock, while Mathews’s 35 runs included three fours and a six.

Shahid Afridi takes Pakistan into ICC World Twenty20 final.

Pakistanis rejoiced Friday as their cricket team beat South Africa and booked a place in the World. Twenty20 final, bringing rare joy in a nation used to sombre news of bomb blasts.

Shahid Afridi gave a spectacular all-round performance to propel Pakistan to a seven-run victory over South Africa in their Icc Twenty20 World Cup semi-final at Trent Bridge on Thursday.
Shahid Afridi scored 51 Runs from 34 balls in Pakistan’s 149 for four and then took two for 16 from his four overs as South Africa struggled to 142 Runs for five.
Pakistan will meet the winners of yesterday’s semi-final between Sri Lanka and West Indies in the final at Lord’s on Sunday.
Afridi, batting at number three, finally recaptured the explosive form which makes him such a threat in one-day cricket.

Afridi tried to crash Duminy’s first ball through the leg-side but managed only to loft it to AB de Villiers at mid-wicket who completed the catch.
Afridi beat the dangerous Herschelle Gibbs with a leg-spinner outside the off-stump then bowled him with a delivery that slipped straight through. He followed up by bowling de Villiers for one.
“Afridi really played a great knock and got them ahead of the game and we had to fight back and we did that,” said Smith. — Reuters
